Hello,
I’m Wahla Smalls !
I am a Liberian Jersey Girl, born and raised in New Jersey, with a journey that’s taken me from the East Coast, Midwest to the West Coast. After attending college in Wisconsin, I moved to Chicago, where I built my career in social media, content creation, and digital storytelling. Now based in Los Angeles, I continue to evolve as a creative strategist, working in social media, production, and content creation at Little Dot Studios, where I help develop and execute digital content across entertainment, culture, and branded platforms.
I also work in podcast and digital content creation, contributing to shows like Baby, It's Keke Palmer, helping shape engaging, culture-driven storytelling across platforms.
My creative journey started in 2010 with the launch of my first blog, ¥£$ Movement, covering music and fashion events, interviewing industry creatives, and documenting Chicago’s vibrant creative scene. Over the years, I’ve worked as a photographer, videographer, social media strategist, and creative entrepreneur—turning my skills into a business and making an impact in the digital space. My work has led to 300K+ viral outreach engagements, 2K+ community interactions, and over 300 social media posts written and scheduled for globally recognized brands.
YES! Your girl was (and is) out here WORKING! I took the creative skills I learned over the years and monetized them, which is why I consider myself a creative entrepreneur—turning creative skills into a business.
You can also listen to me as the host of The DJ’s Daughter Podcast, or see me showcasing my style through Throwin’ A Fit, a fashion series on TikTok and Instagram where I highlight my looks and collaborate with designers and clothing boutiques from Chicago to Los Angeles. Stay connected with me for new original content, creative insights, and digital storytelling that brings culture to life.
Much love,
WAHLA
